With reference to previous correspondence in

regard to facilities for the entry into Hong Kong and re-

export to China of certain quantities of narcotic drugs

included among stores of the League of Nations Epidemic

Commission to China (Foreign Office letter F 11622/167/10 of

January 22nd, 1938), I have the honour to transmit to you for

your information copy of a letter sent by me to-day to the

Colonial Secretary, Hong Kong, concerning further shipment

of narcotic drugs for the needs of the Epidemic Commission.

I should be grateful if the United Kingdom Government

would, by appropriate means, support the request addressed

by me to the Government of Hong Kong.
